• Award Nomination: Fingers crossed for the EEEGR End of Year Awards Ceremony

Ending 2019 in style, we’re delighted to have been invited to the East of England Energy Group Awards (EEEGR) at Dunton Hall on the 12th of December, where we’ve been nominated for a Reuse and Decommissioning award.

Over the last year we’ve been developing an innovative pipeline installation system from an initial idea into something that we believe will provide opportunity and cost-effectiveness to the market.

Currently patent pending, the system was originally designed for vessels of opportunity to lay shorter lengths of pipe and being targeted towards marginal field developments in places like the Southern North Sea.

It was then further developed to allow for the recovery of pipeline, via a reverse J-lay process, which brings with it an abundance of health and safety, cost, efficiency and environmentally beneficial features. Beyond even this, though, it has now been adapted to also allow for the recovery of bundles and the further deployment and recovery of both pipes and umbilicals.

The EEEGR End of Year Celebration and Awards Ceremony kicks off at 17:30 and will be celebrating the incredible achievements of other members and peers over the past year. Alongside the Reuse and Decommissioning award, there are categories for Offshore Wind, Southern North Sea Rejuvenation, Marine Science and Technology, Contribution to Skills and Outstanding Contribution to the Energy Sector, plus an award for EEEGR Member of the Year.

Naturally, we’re eagerly anticipating sharing the evening with so many other incredible ideas and companies in the sector, and seeing out what’s been an outstanding year surrounded by innovation (not to mention the three-course Christmas Dinner that’s being laid on, too!).

Stay tuned to see how we get on at Dunston Hall next week, good luck from the team at Laytrix to everyone who’s been nominated, and we’ll hopefully see a few of you there on the night itself.
