It has been a while since I was last at the OTC and the 50th Anniversary was a great re-introduction with packed exhibitor halls, plenty of interesting conference content and lots of visitors.

The most striking feature of the OTC was probably the calibre of the attendees on the stands with Senior Directors, CEO’s and owners all in attendance allowing lots of high-level conversations which you wouldn’t always be able to have at a trade show.

The International element is the other obvious feature with our team meeting with people from Brazil, America, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, Malaysia, Kuwait, Qatar as well as a host of European countries and contacts from the UK. It was also a good opportunity to put faces to the names of people we have undertaken work for remotely or our currently bidding to.

The weather proved to be another main talking point at the show with Sunday’s 30 degree sunshine turning into thunderstorms later in the week.

So all in all a good show with great conversations and strong possibilities for new projects and new clients.
